Lodging
The CreekSide Bungalow is an open room with 2 queen beds and 1 single, with mosquito nets and 12v fans. It has a private bathroom with hot water and an outdoor shower; a kitchenette area with propane stove and equipped with the utensils to cook yourself a nice meal; a lower deck with a dining and sitting area; and it’s surrounded by trees, gardens and a creek that runs during winter. All is made with beautiful local wood.
The Area
It is located in Cabo Matapalo, in the worldwide known Peninsula de Osa, home to the famous Corcovado National Park, which holds 2% of the world´s biodiversity. It is an amazing place to experience the rainforest; the only place in Costa Rica where you´ll see the 4 different kinds of monkeys, toucans, scarlet macaws, agouties, coatis, whales and dolphins, and many birds and insects!
We are just 50 meters away from Pan Dulce beach. Backwash is 5 minutes and Matapalo beach 15 minutes away, walking distance. You get to Corcovado National Park within an hour. Cabo Matapalo is the place where the rainforest and the sea meet, and was recently named one of the most ecological beaches around the world.
Activities
Matapalo is a great place for surfing, you’ll find 3 world class point breaks next to each other, each breaking at different tides and offering different levels of difficulty. Best time for epic surf from March to October. Besides surfing you’ll find many more activities around the area such as: sea kayaking, tree climbing, waterfall rappelling, jungle hikes, superb bird watching, canopy tours, whale and dolphin watching, sport fishing, etc.
Feeling stressed lately? Indulge yourself in a Deep Tissue or Thai Massage. Wake up every morning to a wonderful yoga class beneath the forest and meditate to the sound of waves!

At the Creekside Bungalow you don´t need to worry about cooking, just let us know in advance and we would happily cook very nice meals for you at an extra charge.

About Us
The Creekside Bungalow is managed by Felipe and Angelica, a friendly and bilingual Costa Rican family, who have been living on the area for 6 years, and would happily help guests with any inquiries. Angelica is a housework mom who loves to cook, read books and take early morning walks in the forest. Felipe, 29, is an avid surfer, knows the area very well, is passionate about soccer and loves photography. We have 2 beautiful children, Marena who is 5 and Santiago who is 18 months. We also have 2 pets, a cat named Uros II and a puppy named Osa.
